Tours

Parade Portland will have several tours to help you appreciate the grandeur of our beautiful Northwest. Due to the overwhelming response to the initial tour offerings, we have added additional tours.  The Exotic Car Tour was moved to Thursday August 10.   Most tours are full.  While this is a Porsche Parade, other vehicles are allowed on the driving tours.

The Canyon Trail is a nationally recognized trail system that leads hikers along the banks of the north and south forks of Silver Creek. It takes you to 10 majestic waterfalls, ranging from the grand South Falls (177 feet), to the delicate Drake Falls (27 feet). Four of these falls have an amphitheater-like surrounding where you can walk behind the falls and feel the misty, crisp spray.  There will be a catered lunch at the park.  The drive will include at least one of the nearby Historical Covered Bridges.

St. Helen’s and in the middle of the “blast zone”.  A film of the eruption will be shown at the Observatory and we will learn how this monumental eruption radically re-shaped the surrounding landscape and the cycle of nature, locally.   There will be short (optional) hikes available as well as views of the lava dome, crater, pumice plain and landslide deposits.

PCA rules require safety inspection and waiver signatures for all Tour registrants. Participation will be denied if these requirements are not met.
