Portland, Oregon and
the
Pacific Northwest are among the most popular vacation destinations in
the United
States.
Nowhere else can you find, all within
convenient distances, an attractive metropolitan area with exceptional
sightseeing, shopping, restaurants and attractions, towering mountains,
old
growth primeval forests, an active volcano, an unparalleled coastline,
high
deserts, wilderness, rivers, lakes, world class fishing and hunting,
and an
amazing number of lightly traveled roads that seem to have been
designed
specifically for Porsches and their enthusiast drivers.

The center
of Parade activities will be the Red
Lion Hotel,
located on an island
in the middle
of the Columbia River, which separates
Oregon
and Washington. Recognizable as the site
of the previous two
Portland Parades, an extensive remodel is under way, and we will enjoy
fresh,
well-appointed rooms offered to us at very attractive room rates. Not to mention acres of
free parking, very
attractive grounds, and nice views of the Columbia River and the State
of Washington. We will be booking the
entire hotel, assuring
that the Porsche Club theme and atmosphere will permeate every square
inch of the
facility for the entire length of Parade.
